Where are you spending your energy – not just physical energy, but also, mental and emotional energy? I was just having a conversation with my intercessor this past week about how the Lord is encouraging them to look at their priorities and reevaluate their days. Are your priorities PURPOSED priorities?

Priorities

Are your priorities lined up with what God has put in you to do? Hear that again. Are YOUR priorities God’s priorities for your life? Moreover, are they lined up with your purpose? Or, have you gotten stuck, distracted, and overwhelmed by the weeds???

Sometimes what we intend to prioritize and what ends up getting prioritized are two different things.

I am reminded of the book of Haggai where the Lord says to Haggai, “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways!” Haggai 1:4&5

In addition, The Message says it like this, “Take a good look at your life. Think it over!”

Purposed Priorities

Let’s be honest, it is so easy to get sucked into everything OTHER than what we intend to prioritize. Moreover, we get distracted and things “come up.” Because we lack boundaries, we lose focus. Too often, we end up going to bed feeling frustrated that we didn’t accomplish what we wanted to, yet weary because we were so “busy.”

Take a moment to be intentional with God. “Consider YOUR ways” and ask God to show you if you are prioritizing HIS plan for your life…DAILY!  In other words, are your priorities PURPOSED priorities. Are you focusing on ONLY what God has given for you to do… FOR YOU, and for this season?

Higher Calling

Take a good SPIRITUAL look at your life and think it over. Revamp with God and recognize that we often don’t prioritize our “God purpose” because we don’t see the value in it.

I AM GOING TO SAY THAT AGAIN IN A QUESTION, “Do you see your God purpose valuable enough to guard??” Ok, that hits the bullseye for me!

In conclusion, I am re-considering what God has called me to do and remembering my “high calling.” Moreover, I am releasing all the “stuff,” and “the “things” that are not connected to my purpose because they are distractions that pull my energies away from what I LOVE to do… how about you??
